tsp range of free flow / fast set castable are totally cement free giving enhanced life & low overall refractory cost. Tsp can be cost effectively used in areas where high abrasion, high thermal shocks & chemical attacks are expected. Tsp is supplied with bindex liquid as it is chemically bindex liquid. The ratio of concrete to bindex liquid is 10:1 i.e. 10% of bindex liquid added to the weight of the castable. Due to free flow in nature it requires least vibrations. The castable does not need any curing or initial heat-up & it sets hard normally within 10-12 hrs time at 35’c.
use alkali free tools & machines or else tsp will flash set. Anti-wetting & anti-coating grade available on specific requirement. For faster setting & higher strength add least amount of bindex liquid.
cement plants :
tsp can be cost effectively used in burner pipe, out-let tip casting, in-let sectors, suspension pre-heaters, ducts, cyclones / bends of complex shapes, exhaust gas ducts, cooler areas.
steel plants :
ladle safety linings, top & bottom rings, sprout lip, re-heating / annealing furnaces.
coke ovens :
roofs, sidewalls, floors door plugs & repairs thereof. Tsp lasts longer due to high thermal shock resistance & less coke & carbon penetration.
glass tank & frit furnaces :
silica based tsp can be used effectively for roof, doghouse, & rotary frit furnaces because of their superior thermal stability & better adhesive strength for repairs.
blast furnace cast house :
tsp can be cost effectively used in troughs, iron / slag runner, & repairs thereof, due to ease of application, quicker dry-out & heating along with superior thermal shock resistance, oxidation resistance & adhesion property.
foundry applications :
cupola well, iron well, slag runner, strirrer beams, ladles & melt zone. This refractory lining protects the shell & reduces coke consumption by 10-15%.
re-heat furnaces :
pusher – type, walking beam & rotary hearth furnaces. Tsp enhances life by three times of sub-hearth & roof. Heated steel slabs, bars, billets come out less defective due to gauging, since the reaction of the mill scales with the refractory is minimal.
rotary & shaft kilns :
tsp-90 is used for lining high temp. Shaft kilns, where the temp. May reach around 1600’c & tsp-80 is used in special rotary kilns where the temp. Is about 1350’c.
aluminium furnaces :
tsp of various compositions is used for lining metal contact areas, belly-band & upper sidewalls for aluminum melting, holding & casting furnaces. However, metal contact areas are doped with non-wetting agents to prevent aluminum metal penetration.
