It consists of vaporiser with thermic fluid and transient heater to heat the massecuite by low temperature vapour of thermic fluid at about 80°C before feeding to Continuous Centrifugals.
The vapors from vaporiser will pass through the tubes of Heat Exchanger to exchange the heat to the Massecuite passing through the Transient Heater. After dissipating the heat to the Massecuite, the vapors will condense & return back to the Vaporiser, in the form of thermic fluid.
This type of exchanger operates at low temperature and at a faster rate of heat transfer to avoid dissolution of crystals.

In Sugar Industry the Quest for survival has given birth to Co-Generation, Molasses based By-Products, and Bagasse based Paper/hard board Plants to name few.
Taking Clue from the well-known caption “Power Saved is Power Produced”, we at VRL, in our mission choose to serve the Sugar Industry by developing new Generation Energy efficient equipments, leading to reduced steam & electrical Power consumption.
In Depth study of every equipment in the Process House, coupled with our continuous R&D efforts have resulted in bringing out energy efficient boiling house, which can operate with very less steam & power.
The Greatest achievement of VRL is the implementation of Steam Economy in Sugar Factories equipped with low pressure Boilers which was never thought of earlier. This task goes hand in hand with electrical Energy Conservation to achieve Steam & Power balance. The end result is stopping one or more Boilers & saving huge quantities of Bagasse. We are proud for our contribution towards saving our mother earth from global warming by reducing emission & pollution, with energy conservation.
The efficiency of Co-Generation depends on reduced steam consumption in Process house & reduced Power consumption in the factory as a whole. This leads to saving of Bagasse to extend the operation of Co-generation during non-milling period & to export additional power. Our recent achievement is to operate entire sugar plant with steam percent cane less than 30% & electrical power consumption less than 28KW per Ton of Cane per Hour. All these achievements are with out compromising the quality & with ease operation in mind.
With our new generation Vertical Continuous Vacuum Pans supported by our state of art Instrumentation & Automation, along with VRL energy efficient equipments like Direct Contact Heaters, Flash recovery systems, Condensate Heaters, Molasses Conditioners, Sugar Melters & other steam economy devices to eliminate medium pressure steam, we aim to set new benchmark in Steam % Cane. The requirement of steam for process in sugar industry is limited to 3ATA pressure only. Use of medium pressure steam at 7ATA is completely eliminated.
