Toughened glass

The toughened glass is made from out of annealed glass through the process called thermal tempering to give the glass the required strength. This type of glass is 4-5 times stronger than a simple annealed glass and is more resistant to the thermal stress. Toughen glass can bear up to 295^oC as against the simple annealed glass that can withstand only up to 40^oC-50^oC.

Information

Heat strengthened glass is similar to toughen glass. The most important factor of heat strengthened glass is that is has very less wave distortion as compared to fully toughen glass.

This glass breaks into slightly bigger pieces and move towards edges. It is approximately 2-3 times stronger than annealed glass.

WE have one of the largest toughening plant in Gujarat having capacity of producing the maximum size of 3660mm * 2460mm with wide range of thickness from 4mm to 19mm. We have facility to perform toughening process for high profile glasses such as, Reflective glass. ST series glass and KT series glass.
