Krya endorses the view of Traditional medicine that prescribes regular hair oiling for maintaining the body’s health , improving the circulation in the scalp and promoting good quality hair growth. We have launched the Krya baby hair oil in response to many consumer enquiries received over the last year to help parents give their children a good foundation in hair health. With the proliferation of synthetic chemicals in the products we use on ourselves, the products used to clean our homes and the very food we eat, researchers are constantly discovering potential carcinogenic compounds , allergy triggers and substances that can trigger various skin allergies in breast milk and cord blood and even in human placenta.

Infant and young children's skin , scalp and hair is extremely under-developed compared to the skin and hair of adults – this means 2 things: One, it is extremely vulnerable and can be easily impacted by the use of harsh chemicals. But, the second fact to give us cheer is that it also is very quick at absorbing good things like herbs, and problems occurring at this stage can be corrected much quicker than with adults.

We therefore describe the Krya baby & toddler hair oil as a foundation hair oil – The herbs used in this hair oil are extremely nourishing to the hair and scalp and with regular use, this oil will give your child’s hair and scalp a healthy, pure, natural and chemical free start. This hair oil has a base of organic, cold-pressed coconut oil with a hint of organic cold - pressed sesame oil. A complete list of the herbs used is given below.

We are Preethi & Srinivas, the co-founders of Krya. In our first careers we spent 15 years between us building brands and managing sales functions in other companies. In 2009 we took a clean break from work to re-examine our lives; in order to lead a life congruent with our passions and principles.
An important mission at the start of our then new life was to eliminate toxic substances at home and the development of alternatives to these synthetic or chemical products. We started with herbs and plant based ingredients and an understanding of their properties derived from Indian knowledge systems.
After a few months of research we came up a few nifty ideas for everyday products like detergent, dish-wash, mosquito repellents, hair and body powders; all made from plants. Soon we were living in a fragrant, surprisingly clean home and our hair and skin glowed with new energy. We realised that plant based products properly prepared and used, were not just good for the planet but also great for our skin, hair, clothes, dishes and the rest of our homes.
And thus started Krya in May of 2010.
Krya is proudly cruelty free and vegan (as are we) and we spend our time researching and creating the best plant based products for you. We design our products to fit easily into an urban dweller’s busy life, to help you make an easy transition to a more sustainable life. Every product we launch has been tested personally by us for several months. We only launch products which we are thrilled with and believe will make a genuine impact in your life.
