b) Planting process includes one sugarcane seed stick planting from the opening of the furrows, fertilizer placement in rows, cutting of sets automatically, seed treatment at the cutting point, dropping of sets into the furrows with desired overlap, pressurized pesticide/insecticide spray on the sets in the furrow (soil treatment) to covering of planted sets automatically in a single pass.

e) Cane feeding mechanism where the operator feeds whole sugarcane manually and cutting of Setts automatically is carried out by rotating blades.

f) Opposite face blades (I-shaped) are used for cane stalk cutting to cut the cane every 13 inches. While cutting, the remaining cane stalk will move ahead with constant velocity.
