The material used in dies is HCHCr - High Carbon High Chromiuim steel of grade D2, High Speed Steel HSS of different grades M2 1.3343 SKH59. Dies are heat treated to 60 – 62 HRc. Rolling Dies are also supplied with special surface treatment to increase the life of tools.Flat Thread Rolling Dies are used for high volume production and Circular dies are used for heavy bolts and with low volumes.
