These are stainless steel thread inserts formed into elastic spirals in proven quality from wire with rhombic profile, which gets installed into low strength material of aluminium, zinc, magnesium alloy etc. These thread inserts have high wear resistance, low thread friction with small tolerance, high surface quality as well as corrosion and heat resistanceHelicoil Plus thread inserts are available in two versions: Helicoil Plus Free Running and Helicoil Plus Screwlock. Like screw, thread inserts are screwed in with an installation mandrel. Screwlock helicoil comes additionally with integrated screw clamping area which serves as locking, resulting in elastically resilient frictional locking.
