Contact SupplierThermocouple holes (7/16″ minimum) can be specified anywhere on the heater surface to accommodate a bayonet thermocouple. A gap of 5/8″ at the lockup can be specified for thermocouple insertion through the gap to a threaded hole in the cylinder using a bayonet adapter.
Threaded fittings can be spot welded to the heater surface if a threaded hole does not exist on heater surface. Consult our IHCO application engineer about spot welded fittings on a heater (6″ ID miniumum).
Threaded fittings on a standoff bracket are common on European style heaters. They are suitable for small diameter and/or width heaters that will not accommodate fittings spot-welded to the heater surface.
