    4. Lagging Extensions

    5. Heads

    Cast Aluminium, with screwed cap, chain, weather proof to IP 55 / IP 65 / NEMA 4, or Flame Proof / Explosion Proof to IS-2148 (certified by CMRS) / Group II A / II B / II C.

    7. Name Plate / Identification

    Anodised aluminium, giving relevant details, provided at the bottom of inset flange & on the cover of head. S.S. Identification Tag & Punching on flange / thermowells optional.

     

    8. Testing

    A) Routine Tests

    a)     Calibration3 Points over the range. All calibration standards traceable thro’ NABL Accredited Calibration Lab to International Standards.
    b)     Bore ConcentricityFor Barstock Thermowells only; in process & after finishing (10% of wall thickness typical)
    c)     Hydraulic TestInternal / External at specified Test Pressure / Time (100 kg/cm2 typical)
    d)     Insulation ResistanceCold at ambient temp. as per relevant standards (> 100 MOhms at 30°C at 250 VDC typical)
    e)     Dimensions & ThreadsCertified standard ring / plug gauges are used to check threads.
    f)      Nitrogen leak testFor Mineral Insulated RTD’s /Thermocouple Inserts (30 Kg/cm2 pressure).

    Dye Penetrant Test for weld joints – optional.

     

    B) Type Tests – On Sampling Basis (Optional)

    Response Time Test From 0 to 100°C (boiling water), for inserts / complete assemblies.

     

    (5 to 7 sec. typical for 6 mm OD MITC / RT)

    Insulation Resistance Tests Elevated Temp. (5 Mohms at 500°C at 50 VDC typical for M.I.T.C.)
