TWO WIRE TEMPERATURE TRANSMITERS

In Industrial application 4 - 20mA. current loop interface is common to transmits the temperature sensing from the thermocouple probe. In industries temp. signals must be brought to one or more distance data acquisition devices & computer interfaces. Some time these distance can be a mile (~1.5km.) or more, one of the analouge methods for transmitting the signal through wire pair is to use current transmitters. These devices convert the Analoug Voltage to 0 - 20 mA. Current Value.

The current is unattenuated by a long wire length as long as there is a sufficiently long voltage source to provide the power to drive the transmitter & its current out put.
