Contact SupplierTemper Switch is a supervisory device located on the control valves of a Fire Fighting System. Temper Switch is a device which, when connected to an alarm panel gives signals of disturbance (whether opening or closing) at the control valves of the system.
In a fire condition, sprinkler system reliability is critical. One of the major causes of sprinkler system failure occurs when control valves are accidentally left closed, rendering the fire sprinkler system inoperable. Temper switches are required to send a signal if a valve is closed.
Temper switches are used primarily to monitor the open/close position of valves in a fire sprinkler system. There are various types of valves used in fire sprinkler systems: O utside S crew and Y oke (OS&Y), B utter F ly (BFV) & P ost I ndicator V alves (PIV).
Any valve that can affect the flow of water in a fire sprinkler system must be monitored.
