Tapered Roller Bearings

Tapered Roller Bearings are bearings which can sustain large axial load as well as large radial load. These bearings are generally separable and contain components such as outer ring, inner ring, and roller assembly (containing the rollers and a cage). The outer ring is also called as cup whereas the non-separable inner ring and the roller assembly are called as cone. Internal clearance is established during mounting by the axial position of the cone relative to the cup. This bearing provides high reliability and less sensitivity to misalignment.

Taper roller bearings are in standard sizes which are available in inch and metric. Based on the quality these bearings perform for a long period even in contaminated lubricant. It is used for heavy duty, moderate speed applications.
