Tapered Split Bushings that fit into a matching tapered bore in a Sheave, Sprocket, Pin Bush Couple, Pulley etc. used to securely mount the product on to a shaft. Tapered split bushings offered by us have the following features:
HOW TO INSTALL -
Clean all parts of bushing and bore of hub thus removing any oil, lacquer or dirt. Install bushing in hub and half holes to make complete holes.
Oil thread and either the end of set screws or under the head of set screws. Install screws in loosely in holes that are threaded on hub side.
Make sure the bushing is free on hub. Slip assembly onto shaft and align in desired position.
Tighten Screws until the parts has tightened.
TO REMOVE -
Remove all Screws. Oil thread and either end of set Screws or under the head of cap screws.
Insert screws in hole(s) that are threaded on bushing side. Note that there will be one extra screw left over.
Tighten screws alternatively until the bushing is loose in the hub. It may be necessary to tap on the hub to loosen the bushing.
