Tap Bolts

DIC Fasteners is a Manufacturer of Tap Bolts, also known as Hex Head Bolts, have comparable tolerances to hex head cap screws and are also sometimes referred to as fully threaded cap screws. Tap Bolts have a variety of uses for construction, agriculture and automotive applications. Like Tap Screws, tap bolts do not form their own mating internal thread, but they are designed to be inserted through holes in assembled parts and tightened by torqueing a nut.The size of Tap Bolts head varies with the size of Bolt. As Bolt is externally wrenched, adequate space around the head must be allowed for a wrench or socket. We provide all kinds of Tap Bolts in standard as well as non- standard sizes and materials.

• Grade 2: These Tap Bolts are made from AISI 1006 – 1025 or equivalent steel, and to be used in drilled and tapped holes that are threaded full length.
• Grade 5: Grade 5 Tap Bolts are made AISI -1541 or equivalent medium carbon steel and heat treated. These are commonly used in automotive industries.
• Grade 8: Grade 8 Tap Bolts are made from carbon alloy with heat treated. Generally used in automotive and fleet industries where high strength is required.
