Tablet Salt (Water Softening Salt) is mainly used in regeneration of ion exchangers for softening water in almost all industries.
Softened water helps to prevent scaling inside boilers, reduces time of maintenance & servicing of boilers, prevents scale building in dish washers and washing machines, reduces consumption of soap and detergents, reduces skin problems like itching and dryness, etc.
In order to avoid the effects of hard water calcium and magnesium need to be removed from water with the help of Ion Exchange Resins to produce Softened water. Ion Exchange Resin replaces calcium ions (Ca+) and magnesium ions (Mg+) from water with sodium (Na+). These Ion Exchange Resins needs to be regenerated with NaCl (Water Softening Salt) on time to time basis to maintain their efficiency for longer period of time.
