Stiffness Tester

Stiffness Tester helps to determine the bending height, flexural rigidity and bending modulus of fabrics. It employs the principle of cantilever bending; a rectangular sample is supported on a smooth low-friction horizontal platform, with adjustable bend angle indicator, below the plane of the platform surface.
Stiffness Tester is a widely used method for determination of Stiffness of Fabrics by cantilever Test method. In this test, the fabric specimen is allowed to bend under its own weight as the length of the overhanging portion of the sample is gradually increased. The free length which bends under its own weight sufficiently, to make its leading edge intersect a plane of 41.5° inclination is taken so as to evaluate the stiffness of the fabric
