Description : A medium heavy coated rutile type air hardening electrode for hardfacing application on mild steel, carbon steel, low alloy steel where hardness approx. 600BHN is required. Weld metal is totally non machinable and can only be grind. The electrode is suitable for abrasion & impact or a combination of both. Before depositing on carbon steels a buffer layer of Low hydrogen electrode (PRIMA-7016) is recommended. Weld Metal Hardness: 550 - 600 BHN After three layer Deposition.Applications : Plough shares, Cutting knifes, Excavator teeth, Dredger bucket lips, Conveyor bucket etc.
