Split-Flange Clamps design gives you a tilt proof clamps. By locating the plane of the Split-Flanges Clamps half bolt centerlines so that it passes through the center of force of the flanged head on the Split-Flange Clamps half, unbalanced moments are eliminated. This design principle prevents tilting of the clamps half and extrusion of the O-Ring. It conforms to SAE Standard J518.
