Stainless Steel 304 Forged Socket Weld Fittings offers good corrosion resistance to many chemicals and industrial atmospheres. The maximum temperature to which Stainless Steel 304 Forged Threaded Fittings can be exposed continuously without appreciable scaling is about 1650 Degree F (899 Degree C). For intermittent exposure in SS 304 Forged Fittings, the maximum exposure temperature is about 1500 Degree F (816 Degree C).The combination of low yield strength and high elongation in SS 304 Forged Socket Weld Fittings permits successful forming of complex shapes. SS 304 Forged Threaded Fittings are generally considered to be the most common alloys of this stainless class. To relieve stresses produced in severe forming or spinning in 304 Stainless Steel Forged Fittings, parts should be full annealed or stress relief annealed as soon as possible after forming.
