Toolsghar Stag B Jointing Compound

Stag B Jointing compound is a high temperature sealant, used in Turbine and high temperature applications. It can be used on Threading and also on Flanges. It is dark reddish in colour. It can withstand temperatures of upto 650DegC.
If used on screwed joints, it is recommended for use on fittings with a diameter of 13-38mm (1/2 to 1,1/2″ BSP). For fittings larger than 38mm it is advisable to incorporate hemp or Fibre reinforcement, suitably wetted with StagB, into the threads.
Stag B jointing paste is applied by Brush on surface free of Dirt, Oil and Grease. In normal circumstances StagB can be used with or without packing, in accordance with normal pipe fitting practice. However, being thermoplastic these jointings should be reinforced with Hemp or wick, when the joint is liable to extremes of temperature and pressure.
