    Spencers Ultra Low Temperature Freezers maintain internal temperatures as low as -86°C (-123°F). All models use SPENCERS uniquely designed compressors for ultra-low temperature applications. Manufactured with foamed-in-place insulation, they are ideally suited for use in laboratories and hospitals for long-term preservation and storage of blood, specimens and components, as well as materials testing.


    Advanced features include a microprocessor temperature control system with digital temperature display, a power failure warning system with built-in audible and visible indicators, double insulation polyurethane walls and easy open/ easy-close hinged outer door latch.

     


    CFC-Free
    SPENCERS Refrigerators feature commercially available CFC-free, HFC refrigerants and CFC-free insulation.

     

    CPU and Touch Pad (Optional)
    The computer control system designed for low-temperature application ensures accurate setting with touch-pad switches.

     

    LED Digital Display
    The strategically located LED digital display is easy to read. 

     

    Quiet, Reliable Compressor
    Designed by SPENCERS specifically for demanding ultra-low temperature applications in a laboratory environment.

     

    Rechargeable Battery
    A rechargeable battery is built in as the backup battery for alarms.

     

    Insulated Inner Doors
    SPENCERS unique doors are fully insulated to provide better uniformity and guarantee an airtight seal. Inner doors ensure that exposure to incoming air is kept to a minimum when the outer door is opened. Doors are latched.

     

    Cascade Cooling System
    At the heart of freezers that are as efficient and reliable as SPENCERS freezers is the SPENCES designed cascade cooling system. SPENCERS experience in ultra-low temperature technology has made the compact, quiet and reliable refrigeration system possible.

     

    Air Filter
    The air filter is specially located to give easy access for removal. The filter also is washable for economy and do-it-yourself maintenance.

     

    Castors
    Mounted on wheeled casters to make moving easy.

     

    Energy Efficient 
    The combination of efficient technology and construction brings the added benefit of considerable energy savings.

     

    Power Failure Alarm
    The backup battery sounds the alarm in the event of power failure, AC interruption or other abnormality.

     

    Automatic System
    Provides both an audible and visual temperature alarm when the temperature increases to more than 5°C to 15°C (adjustable) from the setpoint.

    Compressor

    Heavy duty dual compressors. The low stage compressor cycles off when the set
    point temperature is reached and the high stage compressor runs continuously enabling reduced power consumption, extends life, protects the thermal overload system, decreases noise levels and provides dependable and stable cooling. The compressor is distinguished by its excellent performance, low noise level and minimal vibration.

    Condenser

    Highly efficient, high capacity air cooled condenser with automatic condensate evaporating system. Dual condenser fans and aerodynamically shaped fan blades. Copper tubing with High side fin tube and low side shell tube design.

    Evaporator

    Tube on sheet type. Cooling-coils-in-the shelf design with cooling coils in direct contact with sample provides rapid freezing, improved sample temperature uniformity.

    Oil Separator

    Oil separator effectively separates the lubricant oil from refrigerant.

    Refrigerant

    Non-CFC/HCFC environmental friendly based on compressor capacity.
