Speculum

INTRODUCTION 
A Speculum is a surgical instrument that is to be used by doctors and surgeon to examine the body orifices. Such orifices may include rectal, anal, nasal, aural as well as oral openings. The functionality of the Speculum is similar to that of electronic endoscopes however, both carry different structures and method of use. Electric endoscopy needs fibre optics at the end whereas Speculum gives direct vision by virtue of its mirror.
