    Soyabean Oil

    Main exportable origins are Argentina and Brazil, export production is available from US and Europe however European origin Soyabean Oil is crushed mostly from South American or US Soyabeans. Soyabean Oil is crushed from Genetically Modified Soyabeans, except for a small production of non GMO beans grown in Brazil. FOB markets in South America can provide liquidity for trading in and out of speculative / risk managed positions.

    Standard specifications:

    Crude Degummed Soyabean Oil (CDSBO)

    Solvent extracted from yellow Soyabeans:
    FFA (as oleic with a molecular weight of 282) : Basis 1.00 % Max 1.25 %
    Moisture and Volatile Matter : Max 0.20 %
    Impurities (insoluble in petroleum ether) : Max 0.10 % 
    Sediment (Gardner Break Test) : Max 0.10 %
    Lecithin (expressed as phosphorous) : Basis 0.02 % Max 0.025 %
    Colour (Lovibond cell 1 inch) : Basis: not darker than 50 yellow plus 5 red
    Flash point : Min 250ºF (121ºC)
    Unsaponifiable Matter (test as per n.s.p.a.) : Max 1.50 %

    *in addition to above, ACI can source low phosphorus content Brazilian CDSBO with phosphorus Max 50ppm or Max 30ppm

    Refined Soyabean Oil

    NOPA 103C specifications: 
    Color (Lovibond) : 20 yellow / 2.0 red maximum
    FFA (as oleic) : Max 0.05% 
    Peroxide Value : 2.0 milliequivalents/Kg
    Cold Test : 5.5 hours minimum
    Fat Stability : 8 hours - 3.5 milliequivalents/Kg
    Moisture and Volatile Matter : Max 0.10% (0.05% should be achievable)
    Preservatives : GRAS permitted
    Marine Oils : Absent
    Appearance : Clear and brilliant at 21-29°C
    Settlings : Absent
    Taste/Odor : Bland and free from foreign undesirable odors

    *Phosphorus is not a NOPA 103C contract spec, however Max 5ppm is achievable

    Governing contracts for Soya Bean Oil:
    FOSFA 51 - FOB contract for Argentine Origin
    ANEC 81 - FOB contract Brazilian Origin
    FOSFA 53 - General FOB contract, applicable when not in contradiction to -
    FOSFA 51 & ANEC 81
    FOSFA 54 - CIF contract any origin
