About one third of the world's sodium sulphate is produced as by-product of other processes in chemical industry.

The major production of sodium sulphate are the processes where surplus Sodium Hydroxide is being neutralise by sulphuric acid or surplus acid is being neutralise by Sodium hydroxide.
