Silk Ribbons Ivory Yarn

Not only pretty, this yarn is eco-friendly and ethical too. The strips of fabric were reclaimed from saris and fabrics, cut and sewn into ribbons.

This material is sewn together in the homes of women in India who try to make a living from this. Supporting these women allows them to provide for their family and pay for an education for their children.

Uses: This is a wonderful material for any of your fiber art projects,whether that be for dyeing, hand weaving, crochet, knitting ,bands, and  even jewelry making. Your creative side knows best!

Gauge: 3 - 4/ 1 -2 stitches per inch

Physical Quality: Varying textures and widths of ribbon, no elasticity, and lovely color variety; varying shades in each skein

Dyeing: Yes, you could use the ribbons as it is or dye it to colours of your choice

How much do I need?

10 - 15 yard - perfect for small projects like jewellery, gift wrapping, accessories 
30 - 40 yard - excellent for small bags, tassels, mobile covers
45 – 55 yard - great size for baskets, mats (dining mats/rugs), TV/oven covers
60- 70 yard - great for larger projects like baskets, clothing, scarves, or for making large amounts of small items.
