Contact SupplierSILICO READY MIX PLASTER is a polymer-modified premixed cement-based plaster. It is convenient, easy to use, strong and binds better to its substrate. It provides an even surface on which tiling can be done faster & efficiently. READY-MIX PLASTER is specially formulated using graded sand to impart compactness to the plaster. It also contains special polymers which reduce re-bonding losses, thereby increasing the productivity of the labor and has a water-retaining component which reduces the curing requirement of the plaster, when compared to the conventional method.
ADVANTAGES
Consistent quality
Ready Mix Plaster
Ready Mix Plaster is cement-based quality material composed of hydraulic binders, high-quality graded sand, and special additives. It is supplied as dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on-site, which requires only the addition of clean water to produce cohesive mortar, it contains special additives to provide good adhesion and shrinkage control.
Ready Mix Plaster is used for masonry, civil repair, plastering on inner and outer walls. It can be used on brick, block, stone walls as well as concrete surfaces.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface should be clean, sound and free from loose material, grease, oil paint etc. Prior to Ready Mix Plaster application, soak the entire surface with clean water.
MIXING
Ready Mix Plasters with 12-13 % water by weight of the material. Stir for 2-3 min, to have a consistency free of lumps.
APPLICATION
Ready Mix Plaster can be applied by normal masons just like the conventional method.
CURING
In general, no curing is required for Ready Mix Plaster. However, when the ambient temperature crosses 30 degrees centigrade, it is recommended to do one curing after 24 hours in order to minimize the rapid evaporation of water from applied surface.
PACKAGING & STORAGE
40kgs PP bags. The product should be stored in cool and dry place, and to be used within 6 months from date of manufacturing.
SAFETY
Use of dust mask, safety goggles and gloves are recommended.
Points | Ready Mix Plaster | Conventional Mortar |
---|---|---|
Raw Material(Sand & Cement) | Consistent quality | Inconsistent quality |
Mixing Ratio (Sand & Cement) | Fixed | Will always very at different times |
Finish | Smooth | Rough |
Wastage | Minimum wastage(3-5%) | Heavy wastage in shifting, sieving of raw material & application of plaster (15-20%) |
Consumption | 0.17/kg.sq.ft./mm on brick wall, 0.13/kg.sq.ft./mm on AAC block wall | 0.35/kg.sq.ft.mm |
Curing | Almost no curing (only 1 curing required after 24 hours of plastering) | Extensive curing required |
Cracks | Negligible shrinkage cracks | Shrinkage cracks are observed |
Manpower | Less as ready to use mortar & almost no curing | Practically higher for raw material processing application & curing |
Edges | Sharp edges possible | Sharp edges not possible |
Space Constraint | Easy to carry in narrow streets, plastering can be done very conveniently in any circumstances/weather | Separate space needed for keeping sand & cement |
Stock taking | Easy to count & reconcile as available in bags | Very difficult |
Paint Finish | Quality and life of paints are enhanced | Average & inconsistent |
Quality | Consistent | Irregular |
