Shuttle Conveyor is self propelled type. The whole conveyor & its support is mounted on wheels which can move to and fro to certain distance on a pair of rails. |
This conveyor is used where the conveyed material is required to be discharged at number of points but one after another, because it can be affected only at a time. |
Depending upon the overall length of the conveyor and its structure, quantum of load that the conveyor carries there may be a one/two/three sets of driving wheels which are driven by electric motor and gear box. |
Shuttle conveyor will be required to fill different bunker; to feed different conveyors; to divert the material from one part to another part of the plant. |
