The Shatavari Roots are used to make medicines. Shatavari Roots are reportedly used for sexual debility and infertility in both sexes. The Shatavari Roots are also used for menopausal symptoms and to increase lactation. The plantations of Shatavari have been raised over vast lands allotted to the tribal under RFR lands in Dhalai district. The plantations are being raised under direct supervision of Medicinal Plant Board of Tripura.
