Inductive and Capacitive Proximity Sensors are used to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. A proximity sensor often emits an electromagnetic field and looks for changes in the field or return signal. Proximity sensors have following features:- The output can be generated without contact with objects and without applying and pressure, the duration of use is long, the internal parts consist of semiconductor element and no moving parts so sensor have long service life.
