Senna is a herbal plant grow as shrubs. Its leaves and pods contains important ingredients for making many laxative medicines that are commonly selling in medical stores. Senna is a Legume family and the sub family Caesalpinioideae. Senna has many other names such as Cassia angustifolia, Indian Senna, Sennae Folium, Tinnevelly Senna and so on. The plant’s stems, leaves and pods have high medicinal value and used mainly to treat constipation.

It is used for extraction purpose in all European countries and many other countries.  Senna pods are mostly used by many pharmaceutical companies for manufacturing ayurvedic medicines. Senna pods are milder than the leaves as they do not contain resin and hence they are preferred for children.
