Born in Mumbai in 1973 to Kamalakar Rao, a much acclaimed DOP, innovator and Camera maintainence expert, Nitin Rao, spent his early life tinkering and playing with Mitchell and Arri Cameras from the age of four! He spent all his free time assisting his father in repair and modification of cameras, lenses and dollies at their workshop, as well as attending filmshoots and learning cinematography. He however chose to specialize in Steadicam and other moving camera platforms. In 2004, Nitin Rao created a Guinness and Limca world record for the longest single take shot of 111 minutes. Nitin has gained proficiency and mastership of a wide variety of camera support systems with years of relentless professional training and experience.
