Sapt Kund Trek - Uttarakhand Himalayas

It is a group of lakes nestled in the foothills of gigantic Nandaghunti peak. The lakes are located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 4800m to 5400m. One has to cover a 30 Km (Approx) one side trek to reach Saptkund. The trek is a moderate to difficult trek as the route is quite steep and there are no villages in the route. However, the beautiful views and dense forests along with splendid Himalayan peaks give visitors a tranquil environment.

The sparsely known trail offers peace and serenity as very few trekkers venture there as well as the adventurous feel of exploring an almost unknown territory.

DAY 1 Dehradun / Rishikesh to Ramni village (Drive)

DAY 2 Ramni to Dhouldhari

DAY 3 Dhouldhari to Patahrkunia

DAY 4 Patharkunia to Simbi Bugyal (meadow)

DAY 5 Simbi to saptkund lake and back to Saptkund bugyal (Route change)

DAY 6 Saptkund bugyal to jhinji Village

DAY 7 Jhinji village to Road (Trek), proceed to Rishikesh. Night stay

DAY 8 Drop at Rishikesh Bus stand / Jolly grant airport / Dehradun Railway station
