Sandalwood Essential Oil

The oil of sandalwood has been in use for over 4000 years. The oil has a woody, exotic and strong smell. The colour of the oil is from pale yellow to pale gold. The older the tree, the more oil and that too of amazing quality can be extracted from it. A tree has to be a minimum of 65—70 years old for it to yield decent quality and quantity of oil. It is Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, astringent, deodorant, disinfectant, emollient and expectorant.

Uses:

• Use a few drops of sandalwood oil and rub on your face for beautiful, bright and smooth skin
• Rub a few drops on your palm and cover your face with it. Slowly inhale the oil as it relieves stress and tensions.
• Apply 2-3 drops of the oil on wet hair to retain moisture and give a lustrous look to your tresses
• Add a few drops to your bath for a mesmerizing and calming bath time.
• Use it in any of your hair and skin recipes and packs
