Contact SupplierCork Insulation Tape Hot or cold piping This product is formulated to provide insulation and to prevent condensation on pipes, fittings, and tubings used in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing. It can also be used on hot pipes. Cork Insulation Tape is a polymer-based material containing butyl rubber, asphalt, and granulated cork (55% by volume). It contains no fibers. This product adheres well to most clean, dry surfaces and to itself, making it possible to apply more than one layer without adding fasteners or adhesives. It is sufficiently soft and pliable to be molded around most fittings and connections. The material retains its flexibility and adhesion after prolonged exposure to UV and over a large temperature range. It has an indefinite service life if stored under normal warehouse conditions. 80°F (27°C) and 50% relative humidity - single layer 50°F (10°C) and 50% relative humidity - single layer 32°F (0°C) and 50% relative humidity - double layer* 80°F (27°C) and 70% relative humidity - single layer 50°F (10°C) and 70% relative humidity - double layer* 30°F (0°C) and 70% relative humidity - triple layer** *two layers can be made on one pass by overlapping the previous wind by 50% **three layers can be made by butting the edges together on the first wind and then following the two layer procedure (above) on the second wind. 99.8% -20°F to 190°F (-29°C to 88°C) (K-Factor) 1.26 BTU/(sq. ft.) 0.021 perms (% by volume) 0.02% Excellent 6.2 N/cm2 (9.0 lbs./in2) min. 30 N (6.75 lbs.) min. 0.75 + .05 Mineral spirits will readily facilitate the cleaning of tools and
