Mild steel contains 0.05–0.25% carbon making it malleable and ductile. Galvanization helps to form a coating of zinc to prevent corrosive substances from reaching the underlying steel as zinc serves as a sacrificial anode. During galvanizing the steel is immersed in a molten zinc bath which ensures a tough and uniform barrier coating. Zinc's natural corrosion resistance provides long-term protection in dry, indoor & outdoor environments.

ERW Tubes manufacturing process involves spot and seam welding where the sides are trimmed to control the width and the condition the edges for welding. It is then passed through a number of contoured rollers which cold form the stainless steel into a tube. ERW stands for Electric Resistance Welding.
