Mild steel contains 0.05–0.25% carbon making it malleable and ductile. It has a relatively low tensile strength and small percentage of carbon also known as low-carbon steel making it strong and tough. The density of mild steel is approximately 7.85 g/cm3 (7850 kg/m3 and the Young's modulus is 200 GPa (29,000,000 psi).

During galvanizing the steel is immersed in a molten zinc bath which ensures a tough and uniform barrier coating. Zinc's natural corrosion resistance provides long-term protection in dry, indoor & outdoor environments.

ERW Tubes manufacturing process involves spot and seam welding where the sides are trimmed to control the width and the condition the edges for welding. It is then passed through a number of contoured rollers which cold form the stainless steel into a tube. ERW stands for Electric Resistance Welding.
