The non-contacting contra-rotating lobes combine, due to their geometry the advantages of the area seal of the pistons, against the casingcover with the line seal between the pistons. High precision and close tolerances lead to narrow packed sealing gaps which only permit minimal back flow and in this way guarantee high levels of efficiency.
