APPLICATIONS
The Rotary Abraser (Wear & Abrasion tester) can be used to test virtually any flat specimen. It is used to test wide spectrum of materials like coated surface, Leather, laminates, plastics, polymers, textile fabrics like silk, upholstery, carpeting, paper and cardboard, rubber, glass, solid materials such as metals, stone and ceramics, and many more.

DESCRIPTION
It consists of a horizontal turntable table with clamping provision to hold a flat sample of 100mm square or round onto it and then rotate at a fixed speed. Driven by the test sample, the wheels produce abrasion marks that form a pattern of crossed arcs over a circular ring. This reveals abrasion resistance at all angles relative to the wear or grain of the material.
