Rodent Control is one of the most difficult pest control processes. Therefore, our Rodent Control Services involve organized steps that are implemented accordingly to each type of organization. First, we set up traps and baits to bring out the rodents and then we capture and remove them. After that process, we undertake steps to ensure that the problems do not return as quickly as they went away.

 

System Consists :

  • Containing the activity of rodents.
  • Setting the devices used in any rodent control program
  • Documenting the activities on continuous process.
  • Pests covered under this System : Rodents System Component
  • Inspecting the premises to provide a survey on the nature & extent of infestation.
  • A comprehensive service plan, keeping contamination & safety in mind for baiting & trapping.
  • Application of latest management materials such as glue boards & rodenticide used for the rodent management
  • Service is a registered products approved for use at some internal areas of premise.
  • Installation of rodent bait stations of tamper resistance standards in the external perimeter & some internal areas Of the premise (if necessary ) Maps or schematics showing the locations of the rodent control devices shall be maintained. A record of the service & cleaning of rodent control device shall be maintained in each device.
  • Complete technical supervision & monitoring Periodic replenishment of baits & resetting of traps.
  • Baiting with state-of-Art anticoagulant rodenticide in different forms : pellets, cereals, soft & wax blocks, placed in protective & tamper proof bait stations.
  • Trapping with manual & automatic cages/devices.
  • Trapping with self-glue boards. Program Description

 

External Areas :

  • Chemicals used : Zinc Phosphide / Bromodilone
  • Frequency of the treatment: Fortnightly / Monthly
  • Equipment used : Rodent bait stations, Rodent glue trap, Rat snap Trap & cages.
  • Treatment Time: Always after cleaning & after Safespray, day or night. (For food processing by night).
  • Installations of tamper resistance bait stations in the exterior perimeter of the facility at 50 -100 feet intervals. (15 -30 meter )
  • These bait stations will be properly positioned, anchored, with a provision of lock & key & properly labeled.
  • Numbering/marking will be done according to the site map.Registered & Approved rodenticide will be used either in the granular form or wax blocks form.
  • Services to these devices shall be in line with levels of rodent activity in the bait stations. However, all stations shall be inspected & serviced.
  • Each service & the results of the service will be documented for each bait station.

 

Internal Areas :

  • Installation of bait stations made out of durable materials in the rodent runways & wherever there is a potential For rodent entry into the premise & glue boards could be used in these stations.
  • These devices shall be properly positioned & secured to keep them in place, under lock & key.
  • Numbering/marking will be done according to the site map.
  • Services to these devices shall be in line with levels of rodent activity in the bait stations. However, all stations
  • Shall be inspected & serviced regularly.
  • Each service & the results of the service will be documented for each bait station.
  • In internal area of the premise placement of bait station is not recommended.
  • Disposal of dead rats
  • If any dead rat found either in the glue board or in the external bait stations, the dead rats should be collected in A disposal brown paper bag & tied. Then either burry them in to the soil or disposed off in to the city waste/ garbage dumps.
  • If the dead rat is found on GLUE boards the rat along with the board can be disposed off as stated above.
  • Always keep the records of the dead rat collected from each account. Always keep the records of the chemicals Used as well as the other material used in each service contract.
  • Tips on effective rodent control program - Advice the client on Good housekeeping practices – indoors as well as outdoors Make good of the possible route of rodent access to the building Elimination of food & shelter Removal of rubbish piles Proper handling of garbage & other waste Covering garbage cans with tight fitting covers Clearing grasses, weeds & other undesirable vegetation on the exterior of buildings
  • Follow proper storage practices with inspection aisles Identifying potential rodent harborages & eliminate or modifying them

 

Points to note :

  • Before starting a rodent control program eliminate as many sources of food as possible to encourage rodents to Explore & forage for food & take readily to baits on traps
  • Keep bait stations clean & in good working conditions.
  • Do not use traps with uneven bases. The wobbling will frighten the rodents
  • Avoid handling dead rodents with bare hands to prevent contact with ecto parasites or disease organisms.
  • Do not touch pets before handling traps. Odors of natural predators such as cats & dogs on traps may cause rodent aversion Glue traps should be stored properly in warm weather to avoid dripping of glue.

  • Gain entrance through openings as small as only 1/2 inch Sq.
  • Climb the outside of vertical pipes & conduits of any size if they are within 3 inches of a wall
  • Crawl horizontally on any type of pipe or conduit Jump vertically as high as 36 inches from horizontal surface
  • Jump horizontally 48 inches on a flat surface
  • Jump horizontally at least 8 feet from an elevation of 15 feet

 

Drop 50 feet & survive :

  • Burrow vertically in the earth to a depth of 4 feet
  • Climb brick or other rough exterior walls that offer footholds to gain access to upper stories of structures.
  • Climb vines, shrubs, & tress, or travel along telephone or power lines to gain access to upper floors/ building
  • Swim as far as 1/2 mile, dive through water plumbing raps, & travel in sewer lines- even against substantial
  • Water currents Gnaw through a wide variety of materials, including lead sheeting, sun dried adobe brick, cinder block & Aluminum sheeting

 

How You Can Prevent Rat Problems. :

  • Suburban areas are ideal habitats for rats. Many things that are a part of our lifestyles can increase rat problems. Below are some things you can do to prevent rats invading the property.
  • Remove sources of food.
  • Pick up your pet's droppings. Rats can subsist on dog dropping when no other food is available
  • Don't put bread or seed on the ground. If you feed squirrels or birds, you may also be feeding the rats
  • Use metal trashcans with lids. Rats can gnaw through plastic garbage cans Harvest vegetable gardens as soon as they are ripe.
  • Remove sources of water (bird baths, pet water bowls, standing water in splash basins, etc.) Rats require only 1/2 to 1 ounce of water day
  • Remove rat shelters. Keep woodpiles elevated 12-18 inches away from walls. Steps leading into a house should Be masonry or concrete. If they are made of wood, keep the space underneath bare.
  • Poisoning & trapping alone cannot controls rats. If you have an infestation of rats, you must remove all Resources of food, water & harborage for effective control
