    Robotics is a branch of artificial intelligence that deals with the design, construction, and operation of robots and is also used to control, and perform sensory feedback with information processing with the help of computer systems. It involves the study of various disciplines such as nanotechnology, mechatronics, bioengineering, electronics and computer science.
    There are certain laws defined by asimov in defining robotics:
    robots should not harm human beings or pose a threat to human beings.
    They should follow the instructions of human beings without violating rule 1.
    They should ensure their own protection as long as it doesn’t violate rule 1 and 2.
    History of robotics
    history of robotics can be traced back from early ages as early as bc. The timeline of robotics development will give excellent touch about the history:
    320 bc: greek philosopher aristotle gave the hint that automated machine can come into existence.
    1491: leonardo vinci sketched the first humanoid robot.
    1913: the credit goes to henry ford for creating first conveyor belt assembly line in his company.
    1932: japan produced the first robot toy named as lilliput, which could walk.
    1941: legendary writer issac asimov mentions about the 3 laws of robotics in his writing called “liar”.
    1954: the first programmable robot arm was designed by george devol and joseph engleberger.
    1986: honda takes the project of building the first walking robot, and the first lego based educational product was put to market.
