Rhizobium is a soil bacteria that fix nitrogen after becoming established inside root nodules of legumes. Rhizobium requires a plant host as they cannot independently fix nitrogen. In general, they are Gram-negative, motile, non-sporulating rods. Rhizobium Biofertilizer is the most efficient bio fertilizer as per the quantity of nitrogen fixed concerned. They have seven genera and highly specific to form nodule in legumes, referred as cross inoculation group. Rhizobium cultures are useful for the different leguminous crops such as S Groundnut, Gram, Pigeonpea, Beans, Cowpea, Urad, Mung, Pea, Soybean, Lucerne etc.
