Blendex 205 Super is recommended for medium to high temperature varnish cooks and gives gel properties typical of the chelate products, although no volatile alcohols are released during the reaction. Although the gelling reaction will take place over a wide range of temperatures, a range of 160-170^oC appears to be optimum for maximum efficiency. Because of its controlled reactivity, Blendex 205 Super can be added to most varnishes at cooking temperatures, without the need for much, if any, pre-dilution.
