Retractable roofing system not only facilitates shades to terrace, it also provides an economical solution to cover larger areas for commercial spaces like stadiums, greenhouses, gazebos, solariums, swimming pools, restaurants, coffee houses, hotels and much more. Generally, these roofs are mechanized to roll/glide the top backwards, providing an opening in the roof. Panels are installed in a frame with a combination of fixed and both mobile panels. Number of tracks with 3 or 4 glazing panels allow from two-third to three-quarters opening of the roof.

Retractable roofs add new dimensions to architectural fenestrations. High-end and light weight retractable roofs could be designed to slide automatically and manually as well.
