retina xbe wet film is a double-sided coated, full-speed, blue-sensitive medical x-ray wet film for use with blue light emitting intensifying screens. it is coated on a blue-tinted polyester base. the film features t-grain emulsion technology that reduces the amount of screen-light crossover, resulting in improved image sharpness. it is designed for standard cycle machine processing.
retina xbe wet film meets the requirements of iso 4090.

processing

retina xbe wet film can be used in automatic loading systems and in cassette changers. the film should be preferably be processed in 90-second or longer automatic processing cycles using standard processing chemicals such as retina xce/xcf processing chemicals or other company branded chemicals.
the retina xbe wet film delivers optimum sensitometric results with x-omat 5000 ra processor and retina xce/xcf processing chemistry in a 90-second process at 35 °c. when using other processing systems the optimum processing conditions have to be determined by the user. the use of a gbx-2 or similar safelight filter with a frosted 15- watt bulb located in a ceiling fixture at least 1.22 metres (4 feet) from the film is recommended.
