Refining Plant Type AFF PT

The implant serves to refine, by aqua regia, platinifere alloys. The maximum quantity affinabile with this plant is 1-2-5 kg ​​/ cycle. The cycle duration is 3 days 8 hours and the title obtained is 999.5 / 1000.

THE PLANT AND 'CONSISTS:

► hood in PPL constructed so as to collect any leaks of acids, and is accompanied by:

• n ° 1 in Pyrex glass reactor with a capacity of 20 or 50 liters complete with electric heater with drive power and a Pyrex glass condenser amply dimensioned for the condensation of acid vapors
• n ° 2 concentrators Pyrex glass of 20 or 50 liters capacity, with relative electric heaters with power variators, condensate separators and condensers Pyrex glass.
• n ° 1 wheeled filter for the filtration and transfer solutions by means of membrane pump powered by compressed air,
• In allocation of each plant they are included two polyethylene wheeled containers for the storage of the mother liquors, as well as the electrical control panel

► Polyethylene container 50 liter complete with lid and suction for the dell'AgCl decantation.

The plants are equipped with two containers respectively for HCL and HNO ₃ which are staying in a countertub each of PPL as required by European regulations. From the two containers, the acids to be introduced into the reactors, by means of the vacuum, are sent in two glass containers sized and from these by gravity to the reactors

► filter unit equipped with:

• n ° 2 in Cementatori easily washable Pyrex glass, equipped with exhaust valves, with two covers (one of which with a Buchner funnel of porcelain and its lid to transfer and filter the solution through Teflon vacuum pump, and the other is equipped with suction the fumes which develop during the operations for cementing
• n ° 1 10-liter Flask for vacuum filtration of the residual sludge containing traces auriferous and platinifere.
• n ° 1 Buckner polyethylene outer diameter 265 mm

All handling of the acids and of the solutions is carried out by means of vacuum.

The rhodium is recovered in the form of powder.
