Contact SupplierIn RIM process, the two halves of the mould, clamped to the press platens are first closed with the help of press and then highly reactive mixture of raw materials is injected in the mould under high pressure. Mixture is then given time enough to expand and cure to the shape of the mould.
Reaction injection moulding has many advantages over other processes. It produces light weight, flexible yet very high impact strength products with cycle times as low as 3-4 minutes. The ingredients used in RIM process has very low viscosities unlike molten thermoplastics and at par with water which makes it most suitable process for manufacture of large, light weight and thin walled products, of intricate shapes and profiles.
