Contact SupplierThis is a fluoropolymer, a specialty plastic material. Generally used in applications requiring resistance to solvents, acids, bases and heat and low smoke generation during a fire event.
It has an easier melt process because of its melting point of around 177 °C.
Not only that, it also has a low density (1.78) and low cost vise the other fluoropolymers.
It is available as tubing, films, plate, piping products, sheet and an insulator for premium wire. As it is injected, molded or welded, it is commonly used in the medical and defense industries, chemical, semiconductor as well as in lithium ion batteries. It is also used increasingly in aviation and aerospace applications where it is available as a cross linked closed cell foam.
