Kala Namak Paddy Seeds

Kalnamak Paddy Seeds (it is fragrant, rich in iron-zinc and sugar-free)

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute has successfully tested two new hybrid varieties of Kala Namak rice (Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1638 and Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1652). These varieties, cultivated in Uttar Pradesh, yield twice as much as the traditional variety. The height of the new varieties ranges between 95-100 cm compared to the 140 cm of the traditional version.

Agricultural experts and farmers assert that this strain retains the authentic quality of traditional Kala Namak rice while also doubling the yield. With a production rate of four tonnes per hectare or 1.6 tons per Acre, this strain maintains the original quality standards of Kala Namak rice.

Varieties:

  • Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1638
  • Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1652

These two varieties, particularly Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1638, have been remarkably successful.

  • Kala Namak Kiran

While another variety, Kala Namak Kiran, is also popular, it lacks the authenticity and fragrance found in the Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1638 variety. Therefore, farmers are advised to cultivate Pusa Narendra Kala Namak 1638 for optimal results.
