Pulse Oximeter

INTRODUCTION 
Pulse Oximeter is a non- invasive method for monitoring the O2 saturation of a patient. It is a simple and relatively cheap technique to monitor oxygenation in patient�s body. It is used to monitor the percentage of haemoglobin that is oxygen saturated.
Pulse Oximeter works on the principle of spectrophotometry. Pulse Oximeter is used for continuous recording during anaesthesia or sedation. It also allows accurate use of O2 and avoids wastage. It provides neonatal care i.e. it can sets safety limits for oxygen saturations
