• PTA Ruspro Series screws are coated with at least 25µ of Mech. Galv. Zinc - Tin with 20 - 30% Tin and Balance Zinc.
• Over and above mechanical plating, two top coatings  are given to further enhance corrosion resistance.
• A PTA screw that has been produced to meet the Australian Standards AS3566 ensures that the screws can be safely used externally in mild, moderate industrial or marine applications.

Test Result

• When tested in a neutral salt spray in accordance with AS2331.1.3  for 1000 hrs red rust not present over more than  3 % of the significant areas of the screws and no blistering of the coating.
• When tested in a condensing atmosphere containing sulfur dioxide at level SFW 2.05 in accordance with DIN 50018 for 15 cycles of Kesternich test red rust not present over more than 2% of the significant areas of the screws and no blistering of the coating.
• When corrosion resistant PTA self-drilling screws are tested in an atmosphere of 100 percent relative humidity exposure in accordance with ASTM D2247 for 1000 hrs there is no blister density of 1 or greater.
• When corrosion resistant self-drilling screws are exposed to alternating ultraviolet and water with a test cycle of 4 hrs ultraviolet radiation of 60' C and 4 hrs of condensation at 50'C in accordance with ASTM G154 for 2000 hrs there is no checking, cracking, flaking or peeling, respectively.
