Cat's eye comes in an array of colors from green, greenish yellow and yellow to brown. It is a hard durable stone with unique qualities. The name is derived from the greek ‘churros’, meaning golden and beryl like. When cut in cabochon, the stone has a near white line across a yellowish grew body due to canal of feather like fluid inclusion of retile. Cat's eye can be quartz, apatite, sediment or crowberry.
